JOB TITLE: Junior Piano Faculty.
DESCRIPTION: To teach private piano lessons and group classes to students ages 6-adult. To receive training in implementing New Tampa Piano and Pedagogy Academy’s teaching methodologies.
ABOUT OUR ACADEMY: The New Tampa Piano and Pedagogy Academy stands as one of the most prominent pre-college piano academies in the United States, possibly the largest. Students benefit from a cohesive curriculum that emphasizes a practical approach to music performance and education. Our instructors, all skilled pianists, are dedicated to the belief that early, high-quality instruction is crucial to a student's educational foundation. The academy's custom-designed building caters specifically to our needs. APPOINTMENT DURATION: 1 year, with employment renewal possibilities.
EMPLOYMENT START DATE: January 3rd, 2026 or until position is filled.
ELIGIBILITY: Permanent resident or US citizen, OPT, O-1.
WEEKLY TEACHING HOURS AND DUTIES: 22-25 hours of teaching. 11-13 hours of lesson planning. 1 hour faculty meeting. Teaching observations done by senior faculty (hours vary).
OTHER DUTIES: Attendance to all student recitals. Other sparse duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
HARD SKILLS: Completed graduate degree in Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy, Music Education-piano performance concentration, Music Therapy-piano performance concentration, or equivalent.
SOFT SKILLS: Addicted to learning and improving, goal oriented, problem solver, empathetic and accountable.
