Ms. Elaina McBride graduated magna cum laude from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor’s degree in Music and earned a Master’s degree in Music with a specialization in Piano Pedagogy from Louisiana State University. At LSU, she studied under Dr. Pamela Pike and Dr. Willis Delony, teaching group classes as both an adjunct professor and a full-time graduate teaching assistant.
Ms. McBride has extensive experience teaching private piano lessons to students of all levels, both in person and online. She is particularly skilled in working with adult learners and has worked closely with children and adults on the autism spectrum as well as those with learning disabilities, ADHD, and other challenges.
A dedicated researcher and presenter, Ms. McBride has shared her work at Music Teachers National Association conferences. Her Master's Lecture Recital, Better Together: The Benefits of Learning and Teaching Piano Duets, featured performances of four-hand and two-piano duets at various levels, highlighting the cognitive, emotional, and pedagogical benefits of this repertoire. Her research includes exploring campus-community relationships between arts students and athletes and investigating the concept of Affekt in music from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Impressionist periods.
Ms. McBride is passionate about arts advocacy, education, and community engagement. She believes the greatest gift she can give is helping others understand how to create and share meaningful musical experiences.
